Recently my place had upgrading of the lifts and the surroundings and i managed to pick up some very nicely shaped broken-up Roof Tiles. I was thinking of using it in my pleco tank but is afraid that the Roof Tiles may leak out some undersirable chemicals that was used in the tile making process.

Hope to have some advice on whether it's safe for usage a not. Thanks

The roof tiles are covered with a layer of enamel, if I am not mistaken, and the core material is porous. Therefore it should be ok to soak the roof tiles in water for about 24 hours, and allow all the "unwanted chemicals" to leech out. Then it can be used in the tank.
    My 2-cents thoughts.
