    Hello,

My 2.5 year old planted tank is having a lot of debris and I have tried numerous water change of 50% each time + changing the wool in my canister filter but still can't see much improvement.

My tank is 3ft and I am using a 2 year old Dolphin Canister filter C-1000 with bioballs in the bottom shelf, blue wool in the middle and white fine wool in the top shelf.

I am toying with the idea of getting a 4 tier canister media or to keep my current dolphin but invest in a good bio media?

Bro, why not you siphon out the debris manually using like gravel cleaner? Unless you have strong enough movement on your tank to blow the debris to your inlet, then you can expect your filter to take care of it, otherwise, you need to manually remove the debris. You can add some snails to take care of the rotten leaves.
