    1 male and 2 female. would it be safe together in a 2ft tank? how about a 4ft one?

    pics coming later. they were imported in Thailand through aquabid.

    They will not be safe together in a 2ft tank unless you partition it. In a 4ft tank this might be possible if there is enough hiding spaces. If you intend to breed these, a dedicated breeding tank might be useful.

    Dividers as stormhawk said would be the most cost efficient method, but if any of your fishes do get sick, the rest will probably get it as well, unless you do spot it early. I would suggest if you can afford, getting 3 individual 1 ft tank would be best. condition the pair, then try breeding them in your 2 ft tank.

    Do note that Halfmoons do need more space so as not to have their finnage folding too early.

    Lastly, if you are planning to breed, do ensure that you start planning on how to manage the spawn after they grow up. Do you enough space to jar them?
