I would simply let the Anubias form a thick nana wall in the left corner.... also recommend Echinodorus cf. 'Xingu' var. Thomsonensis for the left foreground...

Some Altherathera reineckii, hygrophila corybomsa "kompact" are possible.

Bigger crypts like becketti, ciliata should do pretty well also.

or a huge clump of anubias barteri or narrow leaves java ferns!

    just some suggestions

Thanks for the suggestions, budak and checkboard.

Fleekk, No problem with tank maintainance. She's totally used to me sticking my arms in. Arowanas can recognise their owners (or at least the source of food). No one else has stuck their arms in, so I don't know how she'll react.

Certainly a magnificent spectacle! It speaks of the great care and dedication you've put into nurturing such a lushly planted tank.

I see a pair of eyes at the top-left hand corner...what's the monkey face doing on your banana leaf?

Your eyes very sharp. I didn't notice the "eyes" myself. Its a snail and it's reflection.

The center of the tank gives a very natural feel.

    Hi Vinz,
    Your tank is amazing...
Maybe you can consider to add your mid-front left with anubias nana (front),anubias barteri/coffefolia (middle).
    Nice work bro...
    Cheers,

amazing tank..really lush. That fish is quite a specimen. I should imagine you can interact with a fish of that size even more.

    Thanks everyone.

Moby, yes, interaction is more. She tolerates being touched, and will allow me to hold her tail for short periods. Not something the small fishes are confident enough to try, I guess.

A few interesting behaviour I've not figured out...

    1. She'll hover parallel just centimetres from my forearm and vibrate her body. Nothing visible, but you can feel the pulsing in the water.

    2. Body snapping. She'll form a C-shape with her body and then snap back to normal postures... usually repeated several times consecutively.

Public sources of information usually cover husbandry, selection and farm breeding methods. I've not found anything about their behaviour.
