i am currently using HC150 in my 2FEET shrimp tank.i think so far so good never give me any problem. i am using ehem 2213.
I'm currently cycling my 2x1x1.5ft tank for new shrimp tank, planning to keep fire red, but realised that temperature is too high, around 30. so decide to buy a chiller, should be getting hailea hc-150.
Spec
Water refrigerated: 50~400L
Power: 1/10HP
Iced Medium: R134a
Voltage:220~240V(110~120V)
Flow Rate: 250~1200L/H
Frequency: 50Hz(60Hz)
Weight: 15kg
Current:1.1A(250W)
Size: 420×248×365mm
the specs shows 250 to 1200L/H flow rate, but i'm using atman DF-1300, which has a flow rate of 1500L/H. can i still use the chiller with the cannister? any review on hc-150? or better recommendation? on quite a tight budget as i'm still a nsf.

Hi Bro just to share my experience with hailea chiller I am using HC 100 for my 2ft tank. It will create noise but I think is the assemble parts is not really good quality that's why there is vibration noise. Once the noise come I will move my chiller abit the noise goes away. For me night is not a problem as I on my Aircon in the room. Noise is still acceptable. Running with 2213 the flow rate is just nice.
Sakura still can survive 30degree temp, not necessary to use chiller as I have a 1.5ft tank breeding non stop.

Enjoying every mins of the process. Happy Shrimping.
As for me, i also keep my chiller in the living room. Recently, i got complains from my dad that it makes the whole living room very warm when it kicks in. Therefore, he approved me of keeping my shrimps inside a spare bedroom filled with junks...LOL![]()
If you are just keeping fire reds, 30 degrees is okay for the shrimps
i think bedroom with shrimp tank and chiller is not a good idea. the chiller will give out hot air when kicks in and makes the room hot and humid i think. the water bubbling sound and chiller kicks in sound will disturb your sleep. years back, i used to keep my discus tanks inside my bedroom and i often get nightmares of room flooding with water. after that i shift the tanks to living room. haha
Do you use an aircon at night? I have a chiller in my bedroom with two tanks. The chiller hardly kicks in at the ight when the aircon is switched on!

Im using a eheim 2217 ( flow 1200lper hour) on a hailea 28A, 2 feet tank. It kicks every 40mins, not really that loud when the motor kicks.
