something weird ooze out from pH pen

Hi guys,

Recently got a pH pen from C328 a month, those no brand one. Just this morning after i used it to measure my tank pH, when i put back the cap, some water ooze out from the cap. I find something not really right and i open the cap to check, i find there are some transparent sticky bubbly stuff like mucus sticking around the sensor glass, it smells like alcohol, is it normal?

please advise. I got no time to check if the meter still working well as i need to rush for work. Will check it when i back home tonight.

It seems the pH pen is still working.

It should be the PH electrodes. A liquid chemical used to protect the PH probe
