Whats the current PH of your tank? Nerite snails quite sensitive to low PH. I had mine it's shell corroded and died after few months in the tank.
2 of my oto's died, 2 horned snail also die. The CRS and yamatos are doing fine.
Any reason why the horned snails will die?

what are those anti ammonia rocks? zeolite? and for your 2213 what kind of media are you using?

leffhker, they are Dymax Anti Ammonia rocks, comes in a mesh bag. I added them into the 5 month old second hand 2213 from a forumer and together with the orginal ehiem media that came with it.
I am thinking that New Amazonia Soil is supposed to be lower in pH, so can't see what else would have caused the pH increase.
I discovered from the box that the Anti Ammonia rocks (zeolite) controls pH between 6.5 - 7.5! No wonder my pH shot up to 6.5.
Now i have to cause a mini flood to remove the zeolite from the canister!
yup they are alkaline by nature if you read wiki...
