Is it the ocean free tank? The smaller few?
Wpg is only something the eventually become something of a guideline.

It also do not apply for very large tanks, due to the exposure of the light source to the tank. But no harm checking how much you have with online counters.

What do you intend to keep?

Depends on the plants you want to keep too. If you keeping moss/ferns, you may go with 9-11 Watts. Those don't really need high lights. No harm trying anything higher than that. Its all about balance. I blast my GEX "s" tank with customed 22 watts OSRAM spiral lightbulb (reason being, i enjoy seeing my plants pearl ). Algae are under control though
