The Chiller should not affect the flow rate by much. However, the length of the hose is more of a concern. The longer it is, the more impact it will have on the outflow.

Hi all, I m thinking of getting a chiller for my tank which is 45cm. Currently using a ehiem classic 250 canister filter. My qns is if I tap the chiller to the canister filter will the outflow be significantly weakened or still okay, ehiem 250 is rated only at 440l/hr.
