    Hi all,
I have read plenty on chillers and external probe and the modification of it etc.
    I'm using hs28a with a 2215 in a 2ftx1ftx1ft. Temp set at 26 degrees.

my chiller reacts like this. It kicks in for 8mins to bring the temp reading on my hs28a from 27 to 26. Then it kicks out slowly climbing from 26. This takes 55mins. My tank thermometer reading range from 25.8-26.3 during this time?

Is it kick in is the time power is consumed and kick out does not consume power?

If I get the probe, my tank will have to climb to 27 degrees. It'll probably mean my kick out will then be longer then 55 mins but it will also mean my kick in will take longer and consume energy?

    Can fellow hobbyist advise me?

    Re: Chiller question

Your chiller seems to perform quite well. Why do you want to change it? 8 mins on and 55 mins off is very good if you ask me.

Yes power is only consumed by the chiller during the kick in. Kick out is like on standby, it will consume power but minimal.

    Re: Chiller question

Well, less kick in for the chiller per day sound like power saving label AA. Good for you.
