I fed them with Hikari Fancy Guppy pellets, which was intended for my guppies.
saw them eating/spitting out repeatedly, don't know if they are really eating or not. if they are not, then they must have found their source of food elsewhere because they have grown quite a bit.
Actually my guppies doesn't seem to like these pellets. they love the sinking ones that were meant for my dwarf crayfish.
Although I have lost all of my crayfish, I still drop 1 of such crayfish pellet for my guppies (3) to fight over it.
I have only 2 neon tetra left in the tank, btw.![]()
from 14L to 8L tank.
Hmm. ok. Thanks for the input. Probably I should try out hikari brands.. My fishes are not fat & plump at all![]()
Advice from boss Felix
I feed my penguin tetras with Sinking Carnivore Pellets (crashed) and TetraPro Colour. They rushed towards the surface when I'm going to feed them. They are in my 4ft community tank.

I feed mine with spectrum new life for my penguin tetras. I feed the medium sized ones cause my angels, cories, hypan & whiptail eats them. Actually my fish pretty much eats everything i tried so far.
More than ONE fish = Fish
More than ONE species of fish = Fishes
Wah.. I'm running out of ideas to support my ember tetras lol. They simply refuse to eat so i quarantined them into a large pail. No signs of illness or whatsoever..

Tried frozen worms?

Hikari Carnivore pellets, tetra bits, frozen blood worms, live and frozen brine shrimps.
Fish keeping is not a good hobby unless you received support from your family to keep them.
I am using the Nutrafin MAX Small Micro Granules... very small flakes which floats in the water and sinks very very slowly downwards. Gives plenty of time for the tetras to eat.
Tried others which are bigger in size and they either sink all the way down too quickly(even though it is said to be floating) or too big pieces where they peck on it but can't put into the mouth and just surrender.
I bought a small packet of Hikari fish food, the one that is multi-coloured... had high hopes for it, but although small in size, it sinks too fast. End up decorating my substrate but think the corys and otos clean them all up.
Not to give up, recently bought one tin of Tetra-somthing. Meant for 1cm or smaller fish.. haha... sure it floats, but I think the fish are quite pissed over the REALLY small sized pieces as it meant they have to spend more energy getting sufficient ones from the water.
The challenge I am having is also the fish food gets sucked into the HOB filter very quickly. I am now doing very retarded way where once the food starts sinking into the water, I off the filter for a short while as they feed and then turn it on after say 5-10minutes.
What type of tetras are you having? So picky? haha
The quarantined stocks in the pail are : Ember tetras, Sparkling gourami, and red platy. The rest are somewhat eating except for the ember tetras. Really picky. The last resort maybe have to go for live tubifex

You can try some frozen bloodworm or brine shrimp too.

I feed mine tetrabits and crushed goldfish pellet. most of them are doing well, but neon tetra. It seem lack of "eating aggressiveness" lol...
I fed my tetras with NLS .5mm sinking pallet and also dried blood worms. they eat readily.
In my experience, there's nothing my fish relish more than fresh live tubifex worms.
I made the biggest mistake when I bought a dollar of succulent healthy tubifex and fed my fish for the next couple of days with it. Because after that, they simply refused to eat anything else, most of them (various species) even prefering to starve themselves to sickness and death.
LIFE IS UNBEARABLE WITHOUT A FISH TANK!!!
Probbly that could be the reason.. the fishes i brought from the shop feeds heavily using live tubifex. will see how it goes.the other fishes no issue with tetra bits i gave them.
Advice from boss Felix
My embers ate the pellets that were small enough for their mouths, Hirari micropellet, Hikari micro waffles (?) and another japanese brand in green package.
I feed them tubifex and FBW too, but they will still eat the pellets...hmmm..
Buy live food test.
