Been recommending this product for canister filter user. It seems price is a factor though but I wouldn't set up a tank without using this. So much easier to use. For those with unsteady hand, you might need a small funnel to pour water in.
Hi to all,
I just bought the Eheim Installation set 1. As I was reading through the manual, I found that the set can help to prime canister filter(see figure D).
The idea is:
1) Close the shut off vavle to the canister inlet
2) Remove the cap at the top of the bracket(where the name Eheim), pour in water to fill the inlet hose.
3) Once the hose if filled open the shut off valve and the water in the inlet hose will drain into the canister. While doing so, the water will create a vaccum and draw the tank water thus maintaining the siphon. The canister will eventually be filled with tank water.

If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.

Mohamad Rohaizal is my name. If it's too hard, use BFG. I don't mind.
I bought my set 12/16mm from 328 for $28
For this installation set, if your O ring is old or ain't fit tightly, air can be suck in easily and you will see lots air pockets inside the outlet hose and of course flow will be reduced. So make sure your connections and gaskets are all good.
Thanks I will monitor
