A silly thought, can a wooden diffuser (one use in salt water tank) be use to diffuse CO2 like the ceramic ones? Would the result be better? Thought of trying it out or anyone tried before?

Can...tried before...fine bubble....but will erode/corrode in no time. IT will slowly corrode away in about 3mth due to acidity.

Yes, you can use that and it requires less pressure compared to the ceramic atomiser to drive CO2 out and the bubbles are not as fine - less efficient and effective. I have used it with my DIY CO2.
