Question abOut first cycle for shrimp tank

I just bought Ada new soil ad cycle for 4days. I put Shizhen and bt9. How long more do I still need to cycle?

Cycling time can be up to 4 weeks or less with ADA. You should get some test kits for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate just to be sure that your tank is totally cycled

What is the reasons for many water changes? To remove the ammonia? To hasten the cycling process?

I started cycling my tank 3 weeks ago, till now there is still ammonia.
But I am seeing nitrate on week 2, so maybe another 2 weeks to go.

If fast, will be around 4-6 weeks. Try adding air stones, over head filter (allowing more water movement), used filter media will help. Otherwise will be 6-8 weeks.

I use seachem stability. Pour once every night and off lights for one week...by 1.5 weeks, cycled....

I mean off Lights everynight after pouring. However i use external filter eheim 2213 for a 1.5ft tank. Damn fast !!!

for me my tank is pure distilled water setup with some bt9 and one bottle of old sea mud at the bottom of the soil.my soil is ada mix mosura soil i cycle for 5 weeks because i think distilled water tank can cycle faster
plus frog bits to stand by for future nitrate.

I got put overhead filter. Since first day my water cycle. I need to get old sea mud soon I guess.

I got overhead filter. Add Shizhen and bt9 i guess very soon it can be ready. I put 2 Sakura shrimp to test the water also. I put 1 day already. If nvr die. Means water should be ready.

Normally people will test for a week or 2... Just to make sure they survive before all the 'whys' start coming again... Just to be sure...
