Anyway tank just 1 month+ 15w LED , about 2.7gallon , excel only no co2 .

Haha .... Yes the lighting got me running all over .
End up I got it at madpetz , they carry quite some light for small tank ,
Mine was par38 with DIY fixture .

Yes good light but only for small tank , think it'll be like a spot light in bigger tank .
Only 60 degree angle , but got to love the shimmering effect it produce ,

Couldn't agree more. Used to have one of this par on my pico reef, and the shimmering is amazing.

actually been doing some part time photography for friends , family and wedding .
macro lens rotting away in my cabinet so trying some aquarium shots ... lol
Alot to learn from the pros here , hope can improve on my tank and take better pics

Hi all ,
was reading about planting heavy at the start , been about 2 months soon not much algae outbreak/issues ...
(1) Wondering how long must I wait before I can change some plants ?
(2) If I change some plants now won't the uprooting create chaos in the tank ? Or it's better not to change plants anymore after planting ?
(3) How long will it take for a tank to be mature ? 6 months ? 1 year ?

Wanted so much to get pressurized co2 but not my room

haha! or you can get one or two otos. they do a good job cleaning up BBA, and the best thing is that they are shrimp friendly.
