Was looking at some of the finalists and realized that no one shared or discussed it here, so decided to post this.

Before this thread gets derailed, please let us all just admire and give opinion based on the pictures and the scape layouts.
Assume that all the pictures are real and that all these scapes are not copied/rehash/photoshopped or whatever. There's enough threads out there about such things, lets not get started here.

Ok, now that that's out of the way, here's my favorites:

    #8 Very lush and natural
#21 Feels good looking at it, no technical reasons, haha
#49 Something different and goes against all the norms. Different colored rocks, and deliberate unnatural layout that somehow still looks pleasing.
#126 Very unique rocks...and seems like the person actually cracked the rocks during the scape to create this effect

Best for me would be #159. Reminds me of mandai training area during NS
Most cannot understand for me would be obviously #167.

Now for the only one I dislike:

#177 Either the scaper is really good at making his rocks look 2D, or the rocks are just printed and pasted onto the background.

It seems like a lot of the entries don't seem to follow conventional proportions, colours, fishes and all any more. Very interesting scapes this year.
Need something to scratch that itchy hand of mine.

    Don't act smart. Be smart!
