Should not be as bad. No reason why perfume should have toxins in it.

Thanks for the comment as i lost some shrimp today suspect the main cause is from perfume as i just measure my water ,no2 0 , nh 0, gh 3 and ph is 6.5 .
I keeping fire red/tiger and crs have added active carbon inside now . I find it weird none of my crs or tiger die only 7 of my fire red die and their body color is like purple/black is it sigh of poison ?
When you touched insecticide or perfume bottles, remember to wash your hands thoroughly and don't touch the water until overnight. It takes a while for the toxic in your hands to evaporate after washing your hands. Shrimps are very senstive creatures, their death reasons varies and sometime people can't really tell the reason except to do WC to dilute the toxic in water. I also suspect your tank is quite new too - 2 months?

Oh oh...
I'll never risk on that.
Any thing....including perfume, insecticide, window spray cleaner...anything that spray will be kept far far away from tanks.

the same goes for me..no spray products comes near the tanks...even at times when my domestic helper fry chill(chilli oil vapour) , I will ask her to close the kitchen door..
Aspiring to be.

Those spray things, aerosol based.
It's a no no around shrimp tanks.
A bro we know lost 99% of his crs due to bug spray.

I guess one way to manage this issue is to have tank covers, especially if it is something unavoidable due to location etc..
Will need to get one for myself soon too =="

This time i really learn my lesson really hard no more spray shit in my room now. Hope these starting to keep shrimp read this thread![]()

Active carbon have a lifespan...
It's highly recommended to remove on the period stated on the instruction.
If I didn't remember wrongly...Sera brand active carbon last for max 3-4 weeks...and must be remove after that recommended period.
As It will lost the efficiency in absorbing toxic in due of time...
It's similar to those RO cartridges....carbon block where it is needed to replace after certain period.

Erm. Active carbon will leach stuff out after it cannot absorb.
