    Thanks!
Let me explain why it might pose a danger it may take sometimes for dirt, food etc to go under the soil. Also it will take the shrimp to level the slope. Leveling and pick soil erosion unwanted substance release into water column. Untraceable reason why shrimp start dying?

    its either scape or pandas.

you can only choose one. unless you decided to have 2 different tanks.

as for multi fan. it will cause alot of evaporations and screw up the water parameters.

just follow the standard setting and you will save alot. its good that you keep trying. but why not just follow the advice given from some of the fellow hobbyist who post their setups?

    just my 2 cents.

    Re: Panda Project

Base on my past fan experience, my advice is DONT use fans.

Like bro eviltrain mention you will screw up the water parameter. Go save up abit and get a chiller, you will regret if you use fan .

For fans , be it 10 fans or 1 fan blowing , it will be near impossible to achieve 25 degree and below, cool months in november and december will be 25 to 26.5 . Then you will be darn happy , but when it come summer , then you are dead duck, the water temp will hit 28.5 even with 10 fans .

Some more watet evaporate speed is like 2 days a cm of water level , you got to top up water daily using DISTILLED water, it cost alot, if you top up age tap water , your TDS will go haywire in just a few months.

I remember last time my crs and bds tank run on fan, as i dont have a tds metet to measure , after i bought 1, i measure tds was 600plus ppm , wow... My sakura tank tds was 800plus

If you can afford pandas, i'm sure you can afford a chiller.

    Re: Panda Project

Agreed with bro HeMan... I lost an army of crs when i first kept them in a tank running with fans. To make things worst, i didn't measure the water parameters. So i learn the hard way through till now..

Well said, but still it is in us to try an save on "small things & get silly fines"

There is a whole lot folks get to pay school fees. Some very very heavy fees.

Crs very likely will be the ceiling for shrimp for a well scape planted tank.

Yes, learning the hard way, not the high way.. if not, you will get to pay high fines or fees..

Hey! Thanks for all the advices! I guess I will start with CRS first.. And see how I can progress from there. Well, it's kind of a cool hobby anyway. Brought back most of my memories when I was doing my fishes... Fundamentally, the same, if you want your pets to grow better, you got to give them as best as you can.

Ok guys! Thank you for the advices! I'll keep this thread posted! Will start 25 Aug.. Haha! Good fengshui!

    Re: Panda Project

Please do note that if you want to keep crs and have them propagating successfully a chiller is definitely a requirement..on top of that ,stable parameters is also one of the main factors...crs and taiwan variants are rather similar as they are of the same species just that taiwan variants are probably more sensitive due to the fact they are mutations.. So do read alot and go through alot to gain experience before venturing into something more challenging.. It is the patience that prevents us from incurring expensive school fees...
    Aspiring to be.
