No, they tend to leave the shrimplets alone. Their temperament is somewhat similar to the other two common pygmies, C.habrosus & C.pygmaeus. Try to get a school of 7 or more. I find them more settled and less shy that way.

Currently keeping large predatory fish 🐟
thanks for the info.
Generally, no, but that excludes weak or dead shrimplets and those that got in the way of the hastatus barbels. One must remember that Corydoras species are, by nature, omnivores and will do better with some protein in their diet.
A group of 10 is a good start. Get more if you're intrigued by their tight-schooling and clownish antics.
I'm back & keeping 'em fingers wet,

Hi,
I found this thread by chance, while googling for Corydoras hastatus.
My intention is to find any fish that will eat Cyclobs in small shrimp-only (currently) tank.
Does anyone know if this dwarf Cory will eat Cyclobs also?
Is it readily available in any LFS?
I have 20 shrimps (Neocaridina, mainly cherries) in my 14 litre tank. Would the addition of 6 hastatus over populate this tank?
Thank you in advance.
from 14L to 8L tank.
I believe C.hastatus might eat cyclops but a 14L tank for an additional small school of hastatus might put your tank bioload slightly off the scale. I would suggest that if you want to do so, make sure you do more frequent water changes.
I saw them at Green Chapter so far or you can post in the marketplace. I'm quite sure there are many people who are breeding this Cory.
I see, and thanks for the WC advise. I have put up a WTG (Want To Get) thread. Maybe I will reduce it to 3 or 4 C.hastatus. The cyclops population are getting out of control, imagine seeing it here and there without straining my eyes, that's how easy to spot these bugs now.
