Usually when i buy plants, they come in plastic cups, rubber rings or metal strips. Do I have to remove those holder? ALSO WHAT soil is good for a 2ft tank? How much do I NEED for a 2ft & WHAT thickness to cover base? Aga-aga how many packets do I NEED?

Remove all cups, rings and strips (also cotton if any)
Soil will depend on what you are planning to keep in tank or personal preference.
A typical 9 litre package of soil will give you a good depth of soil for a 2ft tank

Yes need to remove those , clean , wash , take out those wool etc then plant them into the soil/substrate .

for planted tank get ADA aquasoil NEW Amazonia, 1 bag of 9 liter will do fro 2ft tank.

I use and I like Ada new Amazonia. One 9 litre pack should give you enough soil. If you want to create slopes or steeper slopes, may need to buy more.

Normally, remove all the sponge and baskets. Contaminants and pests lurk in them. Wash type plants clean.

how much $ for ADA soil? Do i NEED to cycle the tank 1st as i intend to keep some fishes too
