    Hello fellow aquatic enthusiasts...anyone here using Seachem's range of Flourish,flourish iron,flourish potassium and flourish phosphorus?Would like to find out how good the results are when such a combi is used and how seachem fares comparing with other brands of ferts in terms of contents concentration..thks!

    With Flourish you should/can dose more for a high-light tank. Its quite concentrated, but the recommended dose is a little low IMHO. Flourish Iron is one of the few iron only products out there, but IME, you should be dosing trace along with the iron, so a trace fert that contains iron will be a better choice, or just use more Flourish.

    Flourish Potassium, Trace, Nitrogen and Phosphorus are expensive in the long run for a large tank. K2SO4, LushGro Micros, KNO3 and KH2PO4 will last much, much, much longer. The Flourish range is a little more convenient, but it really isn't much harder to get and prepare your own stock solutions using the chems I listed.

    Thanks for the info vinz,anyway does dosing of Po4 reduces spot algae?

    That seems to be the experience posted across several forums.

    However, other then that, there is no solid evidence that lack of PO4 is the cause of spot algae. Clean your glass, try it and see if your spot algae slow downs or goes away.
