I am captivated by all the shrimps' colours and would love to keep all of them in the same tank.

I am going for the Neocaridina genus because of its easy requirements.

I am not going for cross breeding. I just want to keep all in the same tank.
But if they breed in their own species then I will be very happy liao.

So the question is, can I keep all these species together in the same tank?
RCS, Yellow, Blue Pearl, Snowball and Rili?

    Thank you in advance.

if you do not mind cross-breeding then you can do so... for one, rcs will cross-breed with yellow already..
edit: also realised that all the mentioned shrimps above will readily cross breed with each another..

also all the shrimps mentioned above have the same required parameters so if you want to keep them together ,it should be okay (if you don't mind the cross-breeding)

    Thanks for the assurance bro.

I'll start looking out for the shrimps now.
Really like to see all colours in the tank and I don't mind cross breeding, for now maybe. Because I just got strong interest to keep low requirement shrimps. Hehe.

Some pets are caught from the wild as many feel their much more beautiful in their natural form.

Important is the hobbyist like his pets and the descendants of them.

14litre, you can google for shrimp cross breed chart. Some kind hobbyist did post some in fourm before also.

    Thank you so much, guys.

I did my research here actually.
    http://www.planetinverts.com/Will%20...nterbreed.html

Just went to Y618 and there's no stock for Blue Pearl, Snowball and Rili, not even Cherry.

I saw Golden Back Yellow Shrimp though. Is this a Yellow Shrimp?

Kind of over budget because I am looking at less than a dollar each shrimp. hehe..

Sakura shrimp is Amano species is it? Can it be kept together with these Neocaridina genus?

14litre, Sakura is a better grade of cherry shrimps, therefore, will cross breed.

I'm thinking of going to Y618 later to get CPO, did you see any there?

Bro, as some of the brothers have mentioned, the shrimps that you had just purchased (when placed in same tank) will cross readily and the offsprings will be mostly in their wild colours. Mainly as greyish brown tones.

In other words, in about 12-15 months' time, the Yellow and Cherry shrimps may no longer be visible in your tank after the initial batch pass on.

    thanks for yr advise, bro.

Ya, I understand that, but very eager to own them ( and keep them alive hopefully) now.
I would like to take this chance to learn shrimp keeping also.

Do you know how do people keep different species in their house?
Putting one species in 1 tank would be difficult for me, if I do that, I think I'll end up sleeping in the corridor. Hehe.

It will be so nice and enjoyable to see all the colours at the comfort of our home.

they do it with partitions within the tanks...the downside is that a tank that is cut into many parts does not look as aesthetically pleasing as compare to the one without partitions...

There is a crossbreeding table that you might want to look that is done by Imke. You can find the table here

    I see.

Thinking back, I think I will "lose the dollars" if all the cross breed end up as the wild form, since the snowball/yellow were priced higher.

I will take this chance to rear these shrimps first. If I can keep them alive in my small tank, then probably I will try a single species in future.

Thanks for all the valuable info, bros.

No worries. Please feel free to refer it to anyone else who wants to know if any two types of shrimp will cross but please give the credit back to Imke for her hard work.

14litre, rearing neocaridina species is like attending in Primary School. Soon then, you will be progressed to Secondary School ( Caridina Sp. such as CRS, BDS & normal Tiger) and Higher Education (High-ended Shrimp such as BKK, Panda & Royal Blue).

Welcome to shrimp keeping, the dark force will soon poison you.
