    yamatoes are more voracious than malayan, they do a faster job at cleaning out dead fishes too. however, you can get more malayan for the same money, they also have the potential to be more colourful, they will also breed (yamatoes supposed to breed only in brackish water).
    why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

    Errr.. thats very expensive... I think you meant 10 dollars for 100 shrimps. Anyway, the cheapest around seems to be 8 dollars for 100 shrimps

    This thread is becoming a "Want to buy" thread, please refrain from posting off-topic replies. Those interested in cheap sources of shrimp should create a new thread

    Malayan shrimps works well in numbers, though not as effective as yamato but they do get the job done. Malayan shrimp loves to hide, so getting more shrimps will compensate the laziness of those hidding :P
