Hello...
I just set up my tank proper yesterday night after rectifying the filter...
I thought I had made a mistake by planting clumps of very small glosso into my substrate... I supposed the painful way of planting them into the substrate is to cut them up individually and stick them into the substrate right? If so, I will rectify the problems tonight.
The main question here is this. I tried to plant the glosso into the substrate with the tweezer... However, the glosso kept coming out together with the tweezer! Anybody knows how can I actually prevent that?
Also, how deep do I have to plant grasses into the substrate? The hair grass I have gotten from SeaView looks long~
Thanks.
Try planting slightly angled down
planting 12 o'clock down you can slightly give the substrate abit after you "poke in".
Leave the leaf sticking out can already.

Trim the hair grass to the height you wanted then plant them.
Leave the greenish part above will suffice.

I understand most shops sell glosso or HC in meshes. Any pro or cons of just planting in mesh and weighted down by rocks? Or we need to painstaking plant each stem?
The roots need to grow normally.
Plants in meshes or filter wool?
If mesh, the root will take longer to reach the substrate.
If filter wool, it will likely float up.
They sell emerse grown hc and glosso, which is easier if you grow then that way.
Selling in meshes also makes it more presentable then buying a pack with alot of mud and look dirty.
