what is the original tds of the water? do you have a gh test kit now?

for shrimps tds ranging from 120-200 should be okay..and gh ranging from 3-6

and do you know why the ph is bouncing back? it is due to the kh in your tap water... it buffers against the H+ ions from the ph down thus resulting in your ph bouncing back up within a few hours.. (providing you do not have anything in your tank causing the ph to rise).. what you should do now is to dose ph down into your aged water then measure the ph of the water in a few hours time( you should see it coming back up)...after that dose ph down again..dose it until the ph remains stable..

and if you want to alter your tds, you should use tds up only instead of mineral plus as mineral plus adds to the gh in your water..

Powerhouse Soft doesn't pull down PH but just hold PH to its range...

If you just want to increase TDS without GH increment then you should be using Mosura TDS Up instead.. I have no comments on GEX soil but I do know that the soil doesn't last very long...

You have mineral rocks in the tank then you won't need to dose so much mineral plus.. Try not to add too much stuff and monitor the issues and solve one by one..

Tds of my tap water is around 70.. Right now I'm only doing wc with distilled water... If what u mean is the kh in the tap water that I initially filled the tank with that is buffering the ph back up....So now I should keep dosing ph down into the tank until one day the ph be stable? Or should I keep doing wc first and don't care about the ph for now...As I I'm afraid if I keep dosing ph down into tank...WillWill end up killing all shrimps...Should I just wc and bring down the Tds first?

oh if you are doing changes with distilled water for sometime already that means the kh should be very much lowered already (distilled water is acidic with gh & kh 0 and - ranging from ph 5.5 -6.2 from a few brands i have tested) ..do your water change as per normal(once per week/2 weeks) with distilled water it should be okay..ph should go down slowly if you do not have any ph rising items in your tank.
and I recommend that you shouldn't dose ph down directly into the tank, it is rather dangerous.. and your tds is alright..leave it alone..

Bros...Yesterday I went home...Too took out a pail of water...Then lower ph to 5.0 and air bubble it...now I came home...My ph still maintain at 5.0.. So I believe nothing wrong with the water buffering ph back up...But all I have in my cannister is black sponge,.. Wool filter.. Power house ceramic rings.. Thats all....and in my main tank...It's 2month old gex soil...2w big dw...Moss...Frogbits and 2 mineral rocks...Can someone tell me who is the culprit raising the ph?

Try take out the mineral rocks and next time when you do a water change, measure and monitor the values again

I also had the same mysterious PH rise issue. Tried many methods; use Mosura sofwater, remove mineral rocks, change filter medias, add Sera super peat, add new soil and still all didnt solve my problem. Eventually reset my tank and changed the soil (previously using Benibachi soil, but another bro using the same batch of soil as me does not have PH rise problem) and now my Ph is stable about 5.8

Don't quite see this product in the GC webpage..
But what I wanted to share with you is that, I recently bought the BorneoWild's MineRock, and that it states there that...
(Credit to GC's Website, only took out relevant info I am focusing on),

BORNEOWILD EBI MINERARU 1B - MINEROCK
    mildly increases GH/PH

    Direction of Use:
    Use 1 to 2 pieces for a 60cm tank.

SO...... I have no real/accurate answer to your problem, but it is a slight possibility that using 2 rocks might be too much for your tank.
Advice to check product's effect on tank, cause I have no idea regarding Mosura's Mineral Rocks

Yes sera super peat will lower your PH but after a few weeks your pH might climb back up like my case. So keep your fingers crossed.

I guess the only option is to keep topping up and maintaining the ph until I've the time for a reset then...
