You can try photobucket to upload then post a picture link.
I mostly do it like that, inserting a link and uncheck referencing local.
Also there are some freeware you can use to resize and do some light editing.
Can anyone help me to re-size photos? I was trying to upload to gallery section & ask to identify my new fishes
