Care to share how you "convinced" them to? I sure there are many ppl who will like to know.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

    Re:

Congrats and I'm sure you will have a nice and lush glosso lawn very soon.

Prune the glosso when it starts creeping over each other, if you don't the bottom will start to rot and alage will come in, happened to me.

Sure thing! Actually I tried to recreate Takashi Amano's water parameters from information I got from Nature Aquarium World Book 3 and Aqua Journal and a whole lot of research on the web.

    Here's what I did.

    Lighting: 3.05wpg
    - 2x36W PL 8600K. I've read that >7000K NA lamps are used by Amano

    CO2: around 30ppm
    - maybe less due to acidic substrate. using external reactor (DIY) @ 2 bps

    Water temperature: 26-27degC
    - with 2 x 2500rpm fans

    KH: 5
    - maintained with Mr Aqua Bio Rings which +2 KH which is quite permanent.

    pH: 6.7
    - reduced using CO2 with DIY external reactor

Substrate: ADA Power Sand, ADA Aqua Soil
    - from personal observation. Glosso roots burrow deep so a good fertile substrate is important.

    Daily / almost daily pruning
    - leaf by leaf, cut just above the bottom pair of leaves. My research is that top leaves are more privileged than lower leaves so by getting rid of them the lower leaves receive more nutrients and thus be able to grow more.
    - After every pruning I siphon out the dead and algae infected leaves and change 30-50% of the water and dose fertilizers accordingly. I reduced the dosage until I see new shoots.

Fertilization: Dr Mallick's LushGro Aqua and Micros.
    - ADA ferts are too ex!!!

Pruning is very important. If you are impatient, like how I was at first try playing some meditation music, Zen, relaxation, etc...
    I'm back!

Nice carpet of glosso you got there. You seems to achieve exceptionally good result in such a short period of time. Mind showing us an overall view of your setup?

Nah it's not a carpet yet. The runners are still short.

You can view the setup process here.

It's far from complete though... now it's still in development stage.

Haha...I too had 'leggy' glossos before. But with the advice of the nice peeps here, the glossos started to 'crawl'.

    Good job Aeon!
