I see; I agree about the patience part, recently I tied 2 driftwood-worth of mini pellia, mini fissiden & mini bolbitis.
The bolbitis took me 10 minutes at most. The pellia took me 2 hours 38 minutes. & the fissiden took me*2 hours 16 minutes.
The most challenging thing is tying from a straight portion to continuing around the bends of the wood in general, i.e. one can't rest the moss on those bends because the moss will just fall off & if you change the angle so that the bend becomes "horizontal" enough to rest the moss on, the moss laid on the straight portion falls off. For the pellia I find it challenging because I tried to retain large single fronds but they have their own "natural curl", i.e. unlike the fissiden where it was easy to lay on the wood, so the pieces of pellia are often perched precariously on the wood & when I twist the thread around to press them down, they either slipped, or sprung off.
I really applaud your effort! Haha!
