call or email them to check them what's the max load the shelve can take?
personally i would say, looks safe but use at your own risk.
Greetings to all,
I'm looking for a cupboard or Shelve that can hold up my 2ft tank.
Do you guys have any recommendations?
I was looking at the Expedit Shelve from Ikea but not sure if it will do.
Hope to hear from you guys.
Cheers.

From what I know, that Ikea shelving is made of compressed fibre. It may be strong initially, but in time, due to atmospheric moisture penetration, it may weaken in strength. Ideally it is good to get a solid wood stand, which I think you can also find in Ikea.
LIFE IS UNBEARABLE WITHOUT A FISH TANK!!!
Anyone has a good recommendation of where I can get a solid wood shelving? Of course at a cheap price.
Cheers.

I bought my wooden cupboard for my 2-ft tank at Qian Hu.
They said it can support the tank (85%-90%) full...
You may want to check them out.
Otherwise , KS AQUARIUM Yishun also sells cupboards ....
Current tank : 2ft / Bogwood with plants / 7 cherry barbs / 1 C.pandas / 4 C.Sterbais / 3 C.Trillineus / 4- AFR fries ; 3 AFR adults (2 males 1 female) / 1 nerite snail
You could still use a standard fish stand, then mod it into a "cabinet" configuration. Safer for the tank
Advice from boss Felix
Yeap not to mention Ikea's wood tends to absorb water and swell. I myself use wood from Ikea; if you remember in the past, Ikea used to have this DIY wood section. I used wood from there to DIY a stand and it's good so far, about 6 years already.
