Hi all, been searching for quite some time regarding the borneo wild shrimp soil but can't find much information online... So decided to post here to see if any bros is using this soil and review about it... As I'm planning to restart my tank soon but couldn't afford to cycle another tank... So if the borneo wild soil is really able to cycle within 3 days as what they stated... I guess it will be the best option for me... So greatly appreciate it if any bros can post a review for this soil! Thanks!!

nope it 's not true that will be ready in 3 days.. took me about 2weeks to cycle it completely ..alithough at the start it has only 0.5ppm( quite low) of ammonia. takes about a year to expire.. went up from ph 5.8 to 6.3-6.4 with a year of usage.. but you can speed it up by using old media/ old tank's water + bt-9/ liquid bacteria.. takes about 4days..
    Aspiring to be.

4 days with old media sounds reasonable...lifespan not bad too....I guess I'll stick with borneo wild soil then...And time for a reset...

suggest you measure the parameters as you go to make sure the ammonia is completely gone..4 days worth of cycling is definitely not reliable... cycle it for 2weeks to be on the safe side..
