    digitally of course.

    "Wow! Look! "
"This molted shell is so cool!"
"This molted shell looks like our President!"
"I saw 4Ds on this molted shell!"
"Hey, my Fire Red molted shell is not Fire Red!"

Have you had the above remarks (or any sort) before and taken a picture of it?

Please feel free to post it here if you have any ya.

A bit of background (not important, so I chose a smallest font size):

I have just started shrimp keeping hobby and have found something interesting on its molted shells, as in the shells are always transparent (or translucent) regardless of the shrimp's colour.

I have Cherries, snowwhite and yellow btw, and for the past few weeks, I have seen transparent molted shells only. I always thought the molted shell will take after the colour of the shrimps. Hence I have created a poll (in another thread) to see if anyone have the same thought. That is just a general interest poll.
This is the link to the poll if you are interested to cast your vote.

This thread is kinda related to the above thought, but not entirely.
It just spark off another thought inside me, to create a new thread as a channel to see all kinds of interesting molted shells. At the same time, we also get to see if a molted shell really takes after its colour (again, this is not important, this thread is not to justify anything ya).

Re: A collection of molted shells

I didn't take any picture of my cherry, yellow or snowwhite shells yet, but I will post it if I see an interesting one.

Below is a picture from my Yamato shrimp, a couple of months ago.

It's amazing to see the molted shell still "clinging" to the driftwood, and almost in a full form. It dropped after a day or 2.

Found this molted shell inside the "bush" (java moss), luckily its not a dead body this time.
But I can't tell if it's from my cherries, yellow or snowwhite.

this is from my CPO, few days ago. It looks like it is still "alive and crawling".

Re: A collection of molted shells

another CPO molted shell uncovered yesterday.
quite sad to see this, because I am packing my CPOs to give to my friend.
(I am decommissioning this tank for another project)

sad as in my previous batch of CPOs died while molting.
this current batch, were molting successfully and yet I am giving it away, making them to leave an environment that they have got used to.
