hi Howie bro,
yur previous post mention WC using distilled water, what are the benefits/purpose? Won't it be expensive to do so? I am assuming you buy distilled water.
Sorry if the question seems noob, I am just starting a planted tank myself.
By the way, how are your plants doing?

Hey bro, no worries. Everyone starts out as a noob and I'm still one.
The reason why I'm using distilled water is because apart from plants I have a community of shrimps and they are sensitive to GH and KH, which can be relatively high in our tap water. Cost of distilled water is actually quite low if you purchase NTUC Life Water @ around 8 bux for 12 x 1.5L from petrol kiosks (thanks alvinchan80, I've learnt so much from him). And having a small tank, I use just about 2 bottles a week. The tough part is carrying home the carton of distilled water back from the carpark.
I've considered getting a Reverse Osmosis System but found out that it produces more waste water (storage required) than pure filtered water. So I passed on it.
However, if your focus is on plants, there's no need to waste money on distilled water.
My plants are doing ok but could be better. I've held back on dosing phosphate, phosphorus, nitrogen and iron because of the shrimps.
Hi bro, nice setup! I am looking to setup a 2 feet tank something similar to yours.
Appreciate if you can PM me where did you buy your AP-60P EJA Tank from together with the price?
Thanks!
