Hey ya'll.
I'm planning to rescape my current random 15gallon tank now housing RCS and guppies. Well I am planning to make it into a South East Asian Blackwater pond biotope tank. Well it's several weeks before my examinations end and so I'm just gathering materials for it now. I have large amounts of Indian Almond trees right outside my house so I'll be using them as leaf litter. Something like this:

Yeah I like that.
So I'm trying to get an Eheim filter from an AQ member, and waiting for a 2ft light fixture to pop up on the market place. So yeah.
Anyway here's what I was planning
Fauna
6x Khuli Loaches
10x Boraras Merah/Brigttae
MAYBE 6x glass catfish (if the price isn't too high)
Flora
Java Moss (I have access to a tonne of this)
Java Ferns
Vals for background
Crypts (If cheap)
Duckweed/water sprites for floating plants
Also I was planning to use the DSM along with the grinding method to grow the moss. The one where they blend the moss with beer or yogurt.
Does anyone have any ideas/advice/things to note that they can give me?

Moved some media around to put space for biomedia. Took awhile to figure it out. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1348935829.096988.jpg
Was cycling on my current tank but decided to wait for my tank rescape to cycle.
Updates!
Took apart my old tank, transferred everything to my 10gal.
Used a thin layer of the old dirty gravel substrate (washed in tank water) as first layer. Then a layer of Ketapang leaves and covered with sand. Then final layer of Ketapang leaves for the fauna.
Oops forgot to take pictures. Here's how it looks like with the driftwood. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1349585958.845056.jpg
Thinking of java ferns on the driftwood, crypts at the back ground, then some water sprite floating
Now cycling without the driftwood as its still soaking in my tub. Still floaty.
Any comments?
