actually tropical fish will not have a problem

or you can try coldwater fish like goldfish (most common)
i used to see pale chubb (can search under this name...really nice schooling fish looks like a tiger when grown up) but not anymore.

actually for coldwater fish, the ideal temperature is much lower even with your air con on....but you can keep them if you dont feel safe with tropicals

but at night and weekend your fish will cook leh.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

heaters come with a thermostat that switches them off when a certain temperature which you can set is reached

I meant that there is no aircon in the office at night and weekends, so he shouldn't be looking for cold water fish, unless put in chiller [:0]

A small heater is recommended. Helps when you do water changes; fish will not be shocked when you add warmer water from tap.

I had the same situation as you in my office. But now got a heater (with thermostat) - discus and angelfish are happier.

I observed that tetras and swordtails don't seem to mind the cold temp before I put in the heater.
