Questions on water and food

Hi all,
My crs/Bds 2ft tank has been running for 2 mths. Just want to check with you guys, my shrimps (about 10 Bds, 12 crs) seems to be eating very little. I give then about 0.3cm of mosura speciality in the morning and by night, it's still there. I know they are eating it since I've seen some of them dragging the food around. Maybe they are snacking on the mini fissidens and app plant in the tank?

Also, I have not change water at all since the evaporation is slow with chiller set at 25.

I intend to either top up or change just 10%. I've never used aged water before so just check, can I leave tap water in a closed container and maybe aerate it with an airstone. Say a week?

I'll be adding mosura Shi zhen. Just bought it. Should I also add seachem prime?

You can add mosura shi zhen to your bucket of water and aged it for a couple of days. That wat i doing also, cheers.
