ADA power sand

Hi all,
How does ADA powersand works? I know it's a mixture of ferts and nutrients and peat moss etc.
So let's say I want to do an aquascape 3feet tank with really high slopes made of ada new amazonia.The highest part of the substrate in the tank hits about one third the tank height.

Do I just lay the power sand at the bottom and level it and then shape up the slopes with Amazonia? I presume nutrients will somehow travel to the plants in this little ecosystem?

This is my personal opinion only.

Skip the power sand and those fairy dust from the manufacturer. You'll save $$$. Just use the ADA Amazonia New (Normal) as the substrate. That's it. The plant will absorb the nutrient from the soil.

For high slope, you might want to plan out properly. To save $$$, what you can do is get those Daiso containers. Drill holes in them. Turn it upside down and then put in the soil on top to cover. This gives height. You can also use egg crates (not the real egg crates where you put chicken eggs) vertically so the soil holds in place. Place rocks strategically to help maintain the slope or those corrugated plastic board sheet. Some hobbyist will place clay bits into bags and place them on the bottom and cover with the aquasoil,

Search in AQ for tips on the slope or google for pictures. It'll help. My apologies as I did not explain or answer your question on the powersand. It is not needed at all.

I use egg crate before. But I place horizontally and stack it. Forming terraces like the java rice fields. It's able to hold the slopes. But the some edges tend to be exposed as the slope erodes.
