For those who are using a feeding tray, what is your secret in achieving a bullseye hit everytime you drop the food into the tray?

okay, maybe not bullseye, but at least the food does not end outside the tray?

To start off, let me share mine.
Currently I am cycling a new tank and this is what I did:

when the tank is fully cycled, I hope I have learnt the tricks and do away with this "stacko".

Use a pair of forceps to place the food into the tray?
I don't use it because my yamato will just take it out anyway

Thanks bros. I will give these a try.

ya hor, the shrimps might just take it out and walk away. I saw such item being sold around, then I recalled I have these tea light holder in my storeroom, so I took it out to try. dropping food into it is such a chore.

Most likely I will do away with it in time to come.

Feeding Tray: how did you get your bullseye hit?

Why need to feed in a specific area ah? Won't the uneaten food just concentrate and rot around the area?

I think the entire point of using such feeding dishes, was to have the uneaten food all in one place, without soil, so they can be easily sucked out to prevent them rotting in the tank?

That's what I thought so too.

I have quite a number of these trays, probably I will start using 3 of these and stick a label each, namely, "Cherries", "Yellow", "Snowwhite".
Hopefully they will be "trained" to read and get the food from their designated trays.

yes i think that was the idea but our shrimp will drag it out of the dish. i've already remove my can never find the uneaten food. Nowadays i just cut it to size troublesome yes but no other choice.

To drop at a appointed zone for me is to attach them to the front for photo session no other purpose.

    Thanks for sharing, bro.

I'll add this to the label, "please consume all food before you leave, or you'll be the food during next feed".

    Very nice!

Oh! so the feeding tray is on a bare bottom which is partitioned from the substrate? and that the shrimp would not drop the food elsewhere even if they took the food out of the tray? brilliant!
