Back to Shrimping .. My 1 feet tank (without shrimp yet)

After my forced quit by my Dad, i manage to come back to shrimping with a smaller tank.

Got my crystal tank at a dirt cheap price . Brand new somemore .. haha .. 30x30x30

Got a very unique rock from a AQ bro - travel from eat to Pioneer just to collect it .. but is really nice .. even C328 aunty saw it asked me to sell to her .. Nice lava rock carving

Got a few more lava rocks, riccia, borneowild soil and mini nana .. Oh new eheim 2213 and a new LED model from Aqua Zonic (1.5 w per blub and there is pink light so will give the shrimp a better colour)





Is on my study desk so i think i will use white cardboard to cover the two side. should i?



I try to create a water fall effect but i dont have the valve for my new ehiem 2213 and the water keep splashing out of the tank. In the end, the cheapest moss save my day .. I place java moss on it so it block the water current and direct water down.

Just set up yesterday night .. So need to cycle . I think i will be putting fire yellow and some cheap crs .. Just need to start finding them

I would want my name in the reservation list if you intend to sell this in the near future, but it's just too big for my small tank.

Very nice...! I think I got the same lights as you, I got the 15watt version. It is very good for plants, my plants grow like nobody business after I switch to that light.

This is the LED i am using now .. 27 cm .. Enough to bright up a 45 cm tank ..

I added 5 fire yellow to test out .. One died seemed like due to molting .. I asked a shop uncle if lava rock will increase gh and he said got customers feedback that it will ... I think i should start investing in test kit .. I always thought lava rock is inert rock .. And my tank is full of it because i know that it can house more bacteria .. Anyway .. I got 5 fire yellow from c328 .. It has being 24 hours .. The shrimps seemed to be pretty shy , not hungry ( I dont know is it due to the over excess of micro bacteria ) ..

They seemed to cluster at the top of the waterfall and kept cleaning their belly ... Something wrong ?



Any experts in RCS can advise on this ? I pour nite out 2 to remove any possible ammonia or nitrite

Hi I have a problem quite similar to yours last few days, two of my Sakura kept on clinging to my frogbits, refusing to swim down or hang around the ground, end up 1 was dead and the another one ended up quite weak and had difficulty walking. I end up transferring it to a mini tank, still a bit weak but least it is eating well. So just keep a look out!

I seriously hope is not because of batch issue ... where u got your shrimp from ? Self pick or in a packet ?
