Hi, one month since the revamp mentioned in my last thread: my 1st 1 year old planted tank.
Changes made to the layout were briefly: added one more driftwood, removed 2 rocks, topped up some soil, removed all watersprite and anubias, replaced with bolbitis and various green and red rotalas. As I was racing against time and as this was my first experience with rolalas, they were simply planted and replanted at random without much thought.

Here are the specs:
Tank: Dolphin, 30 litres, 40L x 30H x 26D cm, on IKEA Nightstand.
Lighting: TMC GroBeam 500 LED x2 (8hrs for foreground, 4hrs for background) mounted on IKEA LACK Shelf ; UP Aqua LED for general illumination in the evening.
CO2: 2 bubbles per sec
Substrate: ADA Powersand; ADA Amazonia soil fine powder
Filter:Eheim Classic 150 canister filter, glass lily pipes.
Temp: 29-30C
No fan/cooling system
Plants:
Foregrd: glossostigma
Mid: alternanthera lilacina; hydrocotyle maritima; staurogyne repens.
Back: bacopa green; rotalas.
On wood branch driftwood: Singapore moss; bolbitis; microsorum (Java) narrow leaf.
Fauna: cardinal tetra x8 ; red platy (2 adult + 3 babies); pristella tetra (5); Yamato shrimps (1); otto (1); unknown no. of sakura, malayan, cherry red, and crs shrimps.

Thanks, wish I could have started with a slightly bigger tank. Guess that'll be my next target.
My most recent photos, a month after unrooting the entire glosso foreground, removing the top soil and replenished with new soil, and replanted the glosso.
This was about a month earlier, 01 Nov 12, immediate after the tedious job was completed:
