    Hi bros, may I know what this is? Suddenly saw it swimming around my tank! Freaked out! Never seen this before.

    its dragonfly nymph! get it out fast! it will kill shrimps or small fishes.

    Anyway, will I have future problems with its offsprings? Does that mean I have to constantly look out for it? How did it get into my tank anyway? Haha sorry so many questions. Never seen anything like this before.

    Usually these critters hitch a hike among plants you purchased. Need to look out for them especially in shrimp tanks, as eat shrimplets.

    Shouldn't be a problem with the offspring. It's not mature.

    Insect in tank?

    Technically, it's a damselfly, not a dragonfly. But it's still likely to cause problems as it's a predator. You might want to check and make sure that there aren't more damselfly nymphs hiding in your plants.

    Agreed. When there's one, there are normally others since the eggs are laid around the same area.
