you dun like stem plants huh? high maintainence? Foreground is tenellus? cannot really see... when it grows in it will look fantastic.
the green "horemanni" is really Echinodorus uruguayensis. Horemanni is red, will produce floating leaves, cannot grow emersed; unlike uruguayensis...

    CK,

Stem plants too high maintenance cos too little time spent at home. Maintenance schedule only 3~4 weeks once. So no choice.

Somehow my tank is anti foreground plants. Can't seem to survive except for tenellus which is growing only here and there. Don't ask me why.....

    Nizz,
My tank dimension - 100X40X50 (LXWXH).
    Cheers!!

Simon, what's the one next to the lotus?
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Echinodorus uruguayensis is sold as Horemanni green. But I suppose it is not important what it really is.

    WKS,

when i can go see your crypts???

One way of getting a regular supply is this. I went to the Horizon Nursery at Joan Rd off Thomson. They sell in various pot sizes emmersed colonies of cryptocorynes (petchii I believe). You can get one, place it somewhere shady and humid (treat it as a rheophyte houseplant), probably in the bathroom, and use it as a source of plants for your tanks.

Marcus, u can come anytime. Just page me (92933900) to fix a time for meeting. The nursery only sell one type of crypto? If so, then not worth going.
Btw do u know any local forum on gardening?

ok. you stay which part of Woodylands?

The nursery I think only one crypt. BUt got emmersed tennelus, lilaepsis, ludwigias, hygrophilas etc... they also have some nice planted tanks in their office with a lot of balansae and bolbitis.

Singapore like no online plant forum leh, very strange. But you can look at this guy's page.
