I am curious if lava rock will rise gh because initially I thought it won't and set up a lava rock shrimp rank. Yesterday bought some fire yellow and one died today while trying to molt. Went to ask a fish shop uncle. He said got customers said will rise. I have no test kit.

Try vinegar test. If it fizzles its not inert.
That is my understanding so far.
