You will be able to get it from any DIY store. I got mine from there about 1 month back, a brand-less analog one. Cost me abt $10.
Hi, I have a planted tank in my office. As the plants require light, I need a timer so that the lights can go on and off on Saturdays and Sundays.
Anyone know where I can purchase a decent timer and at what price?
I've read some good reviews on theben timer (German brand). Where can I purchase this and for how much? It was selling for $28+ at a neighborhood HDB shop.

Thanks lionelckg. For the brand-less analog ones from DIY store, will I have to manually set it every 24 hours? I was looking at some cheaper China brand timer and the uncle in the HDB shop advised me not to get that because I will have to set it everyday.
Go Ikea.

ikea 2 for $10...
Those analog ones...just set once, and it'll on/off everyday at your preset timings.
Any DIY will have it and NTUC Fairprice Xtra also carries many varieties .

I bought mine from Giant, they have the mini-sized ones that comes in 2, quite cheap.
I reccommend that you buy only from supermarkets of big DIY store, and make sure they have he safety sign. I once bought a generic one from LFS and it had sparks...
Cheap and good
15 minute interval, good enough for most people.
Those looking for lower intervals can try brands sold in NTUC and hardware shop, those offer up to 5 minute.
Those really want fine tune to the minute can go for digital timers.
Price goes up with features, in the consumer point of view.

Picture for reference haha. It's brandless by the way. (They branded it as "GIANT" brand anyways but the timer has a "SUM" imprint on the timer)
it may be bulky in design but works as good as those TAIYO brands you can get from NTUC at almost 3/4 the price.
P.S: My 888th post! hahaha.
