    hello bros

i will like to setup a planted tank and like to include some colorful begineer, EASY to keep shrimps.
i read that shrimps of the same type will hybrid and produce ugly youngs.

i just like to confirm if the following shrimps below are ok to mix and won't produce hybrids?

    1) Neocaridina Heteropoda var Red - Red Cherry Shrimp
    2) Caridina cf. Babaulti var Green Green Babaulti Shrimp
    3) Caridina cf. Propinqua - Orange Sunkist Shrimp

Nope all won't mix, but green is very difficult to keep offspring alive and orange can't reproduce in freshwater.

    Re: Mixing some shrimps?

    hello draka bro,

thanks for your advice again. all won't mix = won't hybrid? GOOD!

i will like to have easy to keep shrimps
    1) Red color shrimp - i guess cherry red is the best
    2) Yellow color shrimp - i read yellow will hybrid with RCS so i opted for Orange Sunkist Shrimp, sad to heard it wont breed in freshwater. any other yellow shrimp u can recommend?
    3) Green color shrimp - i guess i will try them out since they wont hybrid
    4) Blue color shrimp - again i read blue berry and pearl blue will also hybrid with RCS. any other blue color shrimp u can recommend? blue tiger? easy to keep?

    thanks bros!

    Re: Mixing some shrimps?

Eh do note the orange/sunkist shrimp sold at these two locations: Green Chapter and CRS Haven, are N. heteropoda as well and will mix with RCS. Personally, I would give up the RCS to get these orange prolific breeders.

Sorry bro you're on your own for blue shrimp, unless you don't mind mixing blue rili and orange, their offspring will be a mixture of greens, blues, yellows and oranges, but not the so-called wild type coloration that is undesirable.

Ideally crs will need a chiller. However there are bros who manage to breed nice crs without chiller.

Well, I believe he know what are required. Infact, he does have very nice shrimps.

As for air con, seriously I do know of people doing so. So I don't really find it funny.
