Need advise if strong lighting is able to keep the height of tenellus lower and improve the "lawn" effect.

Will invest in a 1 x 55W PL light to replace current 2 x 15W NEC FL if above is true

    Thanks

Matured E. tenellus will grow to about 5-6cm tall (eventually) regardless of lighting. Under strong light, they grow faster and redder.

To keep them in a lush lawn, short and small, trim them frequently. But that will result in a compact carpet, which I think is not a problem.

The tank size is 2ft? 55W PL should be enough.

    Trim it means
    1) To lower their height, just cut off those that are too tall. It will not hurt it.
    2) To prevent it from spreading to some unwanted places, just cut off the thin stem, runner that connect from one tennullus to another.
