    Hi overtime_e,

I have switched to a CO2 diffuser as I accidently broke my CO2 atomizer when I'm removing it out of the tank... (There goes my $12)...

If you are still planning to use ur atomizer, I suggest you using a glass bottle instead. I saw the LFS, Go Nature, using those BIG 1.5~2L bottle which Pharmacy use to keep medicine. I think it's better that the normal plastic bottle as it's not elastic and can hold pressure better. They even have an air valve to cut the CO2 supply!

But a word of advise, if you really wanna use a glass bottle with an air valve, you better place the glass bottle in a pail or something first. In case the bottle burst. (A DIY timed bomb) At least no one will get hurt by the flying projectile and the mess will be contained. Having said that, I think I better make a disclaimer:
I'm not responsible for any accident, injury or death which occurs directly or indirectly from the use of the method mentioned above. I'm also not responsible for the illegal use of the above method, not limiting to bombing, terrorist acts, assults, etc. You will be solely responsible for the results and the outcome.
Ah... I can sleep easy now.

I also wanna thanks Aeon for his great recipt as my DIY CO2 is still happily bubbling after after 2 weeks...

[quote:f80c259d0e="voided"]I have purchased a CO2 atomizer and just realised that it will need alot of pressure to send the gas through it.(I can't get any bubble even if I blow really hard into it... ) Will the bottle burst before it reaches the required pressure that will push the gas through the CO2 Atomiser?

I think the usual cause is a leak at the connection between the air tube and the cap of the bottle. What I do is connect with super glue and reinforce with silica. Can also use epoxy. Both available at hardware shops or even NTUC. Would be good to use the plastic inserts avail at some LFS (got mine from Polyart). Drill the hole in the bottle cap, so that the surface is flat, and the plastic insert can flush with surface of cap, minimising air escape holes. When all is connected, try by putting atomiser in pail of water, and blow air from the inside of the cap (as if air produced by yeast mixture). Might take some lung power, image Kenny G

Hope this helps. Worked for me. My first DIY still going strong after 3 weeks. But moss algae keeps forming on the ceremic of the atomiser, blocking the fine holes, then fine bubbles become big bubbles. Sigh
