any here using 4hrs morning on, off 4hrs night on light regime?

Hi,

anyone here can advise me if I on the light 4hrs in the morning, take a break , light on 4hrs in the night.

1) how do you guys dose your fertilizers with the conditions mentioned ?
2) how long do you on off your light (e,g for me : light on 8am-12pm, light off ,light on 7-11pm)?
3) is it successful against algea?
4) do you guys on the O2(oxgen for the fish) during off stage?
5) anything I miss out which be critical for a successful aqaurium?

Currently, to combat algae. i trying out this method.
I on my t5 3ft light (3.6watts) from 8am - 12pm (4hrs of food), off until 7pm ( 7hrs of sleep)which i on the light again from 7pm - 11pm (4hrs of food).

my co2 on during this period of 3 counts per bps for when the lights are on.

my tank are : 163L (43 gallons) - 2.5ft tank.
today measurements - GH 6gh, 4.5ph (damn the soil are too good) , tds - 188ppm.
the rest i have no test kits.

I only pour fertilizer during the night (7-11pm)
growth - 1 push
ada k - 1 push
2 drops of phyton git (after water change)
1 borneowild spoon(fat spoon) of bacter crsytal ( after water change)
1 mosura spoon (small spoon) -mosura rich water,bioplus, gravidas,tonic pro, bt -9

borneowild Boast A for initial stage of planting only.
a spoon of GH up - if my GH fall below 5-6.
Use shizen to treat my water ( change my tank water weekly - a big red pail - 25L of water)

plants - jap hairgrass and another family of 4-leaf clover(forget the name, buy it from the book referance, nicer than 4-leaf as leaf shape more nice)and rest mini fissden to suck up fertilizer as backup plants lol, many frogbits.

question 1 : asking should I pour my growth and ada K in the morning ? will it be too much? or i divide by half for morning and night instead of all at night?

currently my tank hairgrass sent up runners and also my 4-leaf clovers all bubbling , my mini fissden also bubble. my frogbits roots are long and flurry. i can say good growth i witnessing currently and yaeh good growth also from my algae lol.... i witness BBA on my 2 mesh on some of my mini fissden tips and spreading well to one of my hairgrass tips....and green spots alage on my tank wall

question 2 : i know excel is a good way to finish off BBA . is it true? anyone use it and success to control the growth? what method you guys use? syrindle or overdose? any method to kill green spots algae? anyon advise is my rigime very wrong ? tank is 1 month old after planting.

question 3 : why my mini puffer don't attack pest snails? they are multiply by the numbers....i watch his just swim around and look seriously at the mini fissden...think he in love with them....

for green spots algae , i think my oto are doing a good job but still there plentiful more as the otos are more interested in my shrimp food than algae.... i couldnt buy the nerite snails as i afraid they be snacks for the mini puffer (useless bum).... unless he a vegeteriam haha.... he keep attacking my moss for sure lol..... those pest snails are intro by the jap hairgrass sad.... i thought i done a good job ashing the hairgrass and wait 3 days before intro into my tank....some joker eggs might sneak pass my checks....

So many things you add to the tank chemical tank already lol.

Last time try before 4+4 hours from 6-10am and 8pm-12mn. Still had some algae every now and then when I missed a few fert doses in a row.

The tank sounds like only foreground plants and fissidens. Correct?

ya plus bogwood with mini fissden. how your fertilizer regime for 4+4 hrs then ?

do you add fertilizer for both timing when lights are on ?

only add at night. if morning also add, like too troublesome already.
need to divide dosage... early morning half zombie...
