Release to the tank.. They have a higher chance of survival in the tank then in the net...
Happy Shrimping...

So as per topic title, managed to artificially hatch my first batch of orange shrimp eggs last night (had two dead berried mamas)
But now what do I do? They hatched in a net in my shrimp tank and I'm not sure what I should do next.
Do I :
A : Release them into the tank and let them survive on their own?
B : Leave them in the net in the tank? (For how long?)
C : Put a tiny bit of algae wafer in the net for them to munch on till they grow (Again, for how long?)
D : Other options.
Currently I'm doing option C, but welcome to other opinions.
Thanks.

Just released them into the tank. Counted about 10 little guys swimming around and 5 dead ones. Let's hope they all survive to adults!
What is the chances of hatching if the eggs are left inside the dead female carcass?
Sharing is Caring

Probably lower as the dead carcass will rot and pollute the water. Use a pair of tweezers to grab the head of the shrimp and use a plastic spoon to scrap the eggs off. Just be gentle and you'll be fine.
