After 2 years, I decided to restart my 1ft cube tank, I shifted my old inhabitants to a temporary tank while I tear down the old scape and replace with a new substrate, this will be my first journal to update my tank

Got this gex soil for background substrate, for planting of carpet lawn UG

My foreground substrate is the bottom sand for my corydoras

This is how it look like after I split the substrate

Finally got a Eden 501 filter to replace my old Resun filter, it's much more quiet and water circulation is better

After cycling the tank for 3 days and I fasten the process with some mulms and the bio-rings from old filter, the old inhabitants are ready to move back to their new home
I planted some UG in the gex soil, waiting for it spread for the carpet effect.

    the kissing corydoras

Didn't get any new faunas or floras except for the UG.. All are old inhabitants that have been with me for more than 3 years. I know some faunas are abit weird with my current tank, but I can't bear to give it away. I threw away alot of taiwan moss though, some are unhealthy so didn't dare to give to friends over here.

    Flora List:
    Taiwan Moss
    Anubias nana petite
    UG (Utricularia graminifolia )

    Fauna List:
120+ malayan shrimps ( took me a very long while to get them out including shrimplets)
    2 Otos
    1 cardinal tetra
    2 Harlequin rasbora
    2 Panda corydoras

    Filter:
    Eden 501

    Lighting:
    24W

Subratate: Gex Shrimp soil + Sudo Bottom sand

    Water Temperature: 26-29 Degree

not yet, I have a CO2 tank but not using yet. Currently dosing excel daily, if UG still no progress, then may consider to add CO2

ya, i love Anubias nana petite too.. this is harvested from my old tank and tied to the bogwood, nice and easy to maintain
