As huizhong says, Look for hint words from those people who showcase their shrimps, especially when they are hinting you " oh my shrimps had over populate" or " over crowded" etc . Hehe....

Because of unpleasant experiences with some sellers which didn't honor their sales in terms of the promised quality that the buyer paid for.
Due to such disputes, ended up a lot of bros & sis here can't put their shrimps on sales to clear their extras or spares. A very sad story.
clkong, you can buy the shrimps from the lfs or past reputation sellers. Remember to check your shrimp quality before you pay them.
An advice to newbie, shrimps are delicated. Therefore you have to find your best way in keeping them.
Lfs is the easiest and convenient place to get shrimps now. I recently started shrimp keeping again and got most of my shrimps from green chapter and C328. Risk of getting from C328 and other lfs is that usually the shrimps are not kept in good condition and thus mortality rate could be high. GC charged higher price but their shrimps are kept in better condition than other lfs. This mortality rate is lower after you buy them home.
oh i see.. i used to sell some of my crs off whenever they overpopulate too, but now when i want to do it it's so much more indirect.. SIGH!
Perhaps the indirect way means only the responsible breeders would bother to upkeep their reputation, instead of just making a "marketplace" nick and run a fly by night operation.
I think a bro started a forum for shrimp trading .. You can go have a look out ... I was invited to join this morning .. haha
would it be good if you share with us too .
the buyer should not accept if the qualty do not match.
a pic before the deal will help the misundersanding or different in judging the grade
as for the quantity, if it is those ex shrimps, previously i will put them 10 in one tao hui contanier, not too difficulat to count.
sometime to avoid miscount, i will even drop in few more just in case
although i have stop keeping shrimp, sometime i do get sms whether i have any stock ...
my point is shrimp selling is no diff from seling other live stock, is the forum going to ban that too??
one piece of advise is, if i am buying some expensive stuff, i will only go for the reputated bro, do a search in the forum, do a check on his background, the feedback on his sale....if he is new, then you just have to exercise more cautious
You can't sell, but can buy shrimps -> http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...Aquarium-Items
But not for new forumer like me, need to have 30 postings + wait for 3 months .
Hi clkong,
A few members saying their responsible hobbyist selling does not change those who are not or failed to do so.
Quarrels will not & cannot be 100% avoided. But hobbyist help each other solve things/problems in a peaceful manner when quarrels happen.
but prevention is still much better then cure, I've seen some refuse to sell to a buyer as he feel they livestock will have very great chance of 100% death rate.
They will educated and try get the new hobbyist to learn more before venturing, there are a few that do this in forum.
Bottom line, both parties need to know and understand when dealing with livestock. A hobbyist with good reputation selling to a new hobbyist who knows next to nothing will also end up quarrel, especially with livestock that are fragile like high grade shrimps.
What you trying to convey with this. My advice : Keep discussions to as discussions.my point is shrimp selling is no diff from seling other live stock, is the forum going to ban that too??

The Arofanatics forum still allows sales of shrimps, but not many forumners sell their shrimps there....maybe more shrimp breeders will start selling there in the months ahead.
